Select course work in Italian
IT412 (Italian Translation) - This particular course stood out to me as it combined my interest in foreign language and linguistics. This course studied the process of translation from Italian to English and vise versa. The following document shows my final project for this course in which we were instructed to select a particular work of literature, translate the document, and provide an analysis of our translation.
IT450 (XIX Century Italian Literature) - this course was of particular interested to me as it emphasized on the history and nature of XIX century Italian Literature, which pertained to my interest in writing, history, and anthropology. The course read original works from Italian writers, poets, and composers including Ugo Foscolo, Giacomo Leopardi, Giuseppe Verdi, Alessandro Manzoni, and Silvio Pelico.
The following document presents a creative project from IT450 which instructed us to re-write the synopsis or summary of a modernized Opera based on any of the Opera's written by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.
